AUTHOR VISITS

I love to visit classrooms and read some of my books to the class. I enjoy hearing the questions the children ask. and then answer questions the children may want to ask. These typically last 20-30 minutes. This works best in groups of up to 30 children but I can usually work with groups of up to 50 children if that will work best for your particular situation. I am happy to move from class to class for the morning or afternoon. These readings are free of charge. All I ask is that my book order form be sent home and the parents are given the opportunity to purchase books. All purchased books are autographed and personally dedicated to the recipient.

Here I am reading one of my books to three classes of second graders. They were such good listeners, asked great questions and even applauded for me when I was finished.

WRITING WORKSHOPS

I have a variety of topics I can present in a workshop-type atmosphere. These workshops will be a PowerPoint presentation and will last 30-45 minutes. Included in my “Love to Write” workshop, after the presentation, the children are divided into groups and work on practicing what they just learned. I have had great feedback from teachers and principals with this workshop. I can also do workshops on Self-Esteem, Doing the Hard Things, Finding and Developing Your Talents, and more!
